DNWs

Just a quick repetition of my DNWs before the avalanche of all the likes begins.

Formats and mediums

I’ve borrowed many freeform tags from FIAB and Unconventional fanworks. I’ve tried to group them together so that it would make some sense ;)

Tropes

Some general vibes of the fics I enjoy the most.

Alternate universe and canon divergence

I list royal, historic, high school and sci-fi AUs among my DNWs but there are other AUs and canon divergence I do enjoy!

Case fics

I love case fics. I love crime novels. I love case fics so so much. There’s nothing like trying to solve the (murder) mystery alongside your faves.

Gen

Who needs romance when we have gen fics, right?! I love gen fics – all the various friendship dynamics, team shenanigans, road trips, reunions, all the improbable scenarios like Characters reading fanfiction about themselves or Participating in The Great British Bake-Off ;)

Asexual (or aroace) characters

I would love more ace or aroace representation in fics (be it an OC or the main character).

Hurt/Comfort

I love hurt/comfort. In the fanfiction world it truly is the trope I read the most often, think about it the most often, plot it the most often… Simply put I love it when my fave characters get hurt (and maybe also get comforted).

Sickfic

I know I’ve said I prefer injuries over illnesses but sometimes a good sickfic is all you need. Also, there are some fandoms where I don’t want my faves to suffer too much and inflicting common cold or flu on them is enough (Poirot, Miss Marple, Columbo etc.). I’ve divided the freeform tags into categories.

Fluff

I love it when my faves enjoy a bit of fluff because they are always busy with solving cases and saving lives. All types of fic – solo, friendship, romance – are perfect for some fluff ;)

Romantic vibes

I may not need romance in every paragraph of the fic but there are many pairs I like reading about and seeing that they are together. Kisses, gentle touches, cuddles, hand-holding that’s the kind of thing I like ;)
