Dear Author, thank you so much for writing a story for me.

Here’s a list of my general likes, DNWs, some prompts for individual requests and some fangirling about the characters ;)

The first thing I’d like to point out is: I love the atmosphere of the requested books/shows. I do love the TV shows/books and I want to have moooore of it, so I usually prefer the canon-verse or some smaller (or bigger) canon divergence over alternate universe.

For / ships I’d like to clarify that I don’t need romance and kisses in every paragraph of the fic. I’d love to know that my beloved characters are in a relationship or are trying to get together but you can mix it with my other general likes or even focus more on my other general likes and genres and tropes and just add this new layer of two characters being in a relationship in smaller measures. But if you want to write a whole fic about the partners panicking and preparing a wedding, I’m here for it too.

I also love hurt/comfort, I will squeal in joy at whatever mention of h/c.

This is such an exciting exchange because you do get 10k fic/s but unlike in fffx you can’t be sure in which form! And the expectation and waiting alone are exciting! Will it be a 10k fic or a character analysis, a 5k fic and a newspaper article? 👀 Don’t worry, I’m prepared for everything and will love everything I’ve opted for.

And since this exchange allows for a lot of mediums, I’m curious about all the secret diaries the characters keep, letters they write, reports about cases they have to submit and what they reveal in interviews and what’s written about them in newspapers, magazines or tabloid press.

I haven’t put many concrete prompts focusing on the medium opt-ins to the individual requests but please be assured that apart from the usual prompts I’d love to get an interview, diary entry, mission report etc. for every fandom where I signed-up for these opt-ins.

What I like about Bones is I’d say balance. Balance between the detective work and more personal story-lines. Between humour and fun on one hand and deeper thoughts and more serious themes on the other hand. Moreover, there’s a very interesting and varied group of squinterns… Wendell, Arastoo, Daisy, Fuentes, Vincent, Fisher… And then all the scientific experiments, procedures etc.

I don’t have any strong preferences for romantic relationships there, I think that Booth and Brennan - even before they started their romantic relationship - had interesting dynamics. Friendship, respect, a lot of understanding… And personally, I find this more interesting than their family life in later seasons. On the other hand, I LOVE Hodgins/Angela.

Also, I think Booth is being - in comparison to all the scientists from the Jeffersonian - a bit underestimated. But he is very intelligent in his own right, he’s an FBI agent, investigator after all. Plus he has a lot of practical knowledge and experiences, something the squinterns (and Bones) might lack.

• there are not enough fics about Hodgins dealing with his injury and having to use the wheelchair. I’d like him to realize thanks to Angela or Booth or all the others that he’s still capable of so many things.
• Hodgins needs some fluffy cozy days after he’s been paralyzed in season 11.
• A road trip - Bones promoting her new book and Booth accompanying her
• Hodgins and his conspiracy theories. Will he be proven right or wrong? Will someone help him investigate?
• Looks like both Hodgins’ and Angela’s family and past are very interesting. Can we get some more backstories?
• Squinterns competing with each other. Is it purely professional or are they playing some other games?
• Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: interview with Bones about her new book; Booth writing a report about a case; Bones studying Booth medical report (she looked at his x-rays when he was in the hospital after the explosion in Bones’ kitchen...); meta - Kathy Reichs, anthropology...

  I usually don’t watch history TV shows much but I’m so glad fic exchanges have introduced me to this series. (It can’t hurt that the actors are so good-looking ;) ) and I just love everything Italian - opera, the language, I support Italian sport teams in almost any discipline… And last year I visited Florence and saw the cathedral so it was awesome to see it again in TV.

  Prompts:

  • Of course I’ve googled information about the life of the real people but here, this is the one request where I’m abandoning all my usual companions like case fics and lots of h/c and spies and would prefer fluff, domestic fluff, cozy feels, family feels...
  • Yes, the Medici were rich, educated, better-off than most people at that time yet it wasn’t an easy life… And I’d like for these characters to have some calm, cozy moments in their lives.
  • I love the first season the most as it focuses on Cosimo ;)
  • I’d like to see the development of his relationship with Contessina
  • They both clearly loved their grandson Lorenzo, I’d like to see some more family moments for the young Lorenzo... What did he learn from his graandparents?
  • How would the future look like hadn’t Cossimo’s brother Lorenzo been killed? Again, I’d like a fix-it, fluff…
  • How would the future look like hadn’t Albizzi been killed? Would Cossimo and Albizzi be able to get along?
  • I’d like to see how is the whole household preparing for some big celebration, read about the beautiful dresses and meals
  • I’d like to know more about the time Contessina spent in Florence alone after she saved Cossimo. She was such a strong woman but it couldn’t have been easy…
  • I’d love to see more of artist!Cossimo
  • Marco Bello! Oh, such a strong body and wild mind. How did the relationship between him and Cossimo happen?
  • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: letters the characters write; a peek into their journal - what are they thinking about...

    I should probably mention that I haven’t read all the books and the ones I did I read in a very random order. I’ve read First Class Murder, Jolly Foul Play and Mistletoe and Murder (i.e. books 3, 4 and 5) so maybe I’m missing on some knowledge but I don’t think it would be a big problem.

    Feel free to add George Mukherjee, Alexander Arcady, OCs…

    I’m waaaay over to be the target audience but I love it anyway! It’s like reading Agatha Christie’s and Enid Blyton’s books combined! Agatha’s clever mysteries, murder investigations but with Enid Blyton’s children detectives and their problems with annoying grown-ups who don’t want to listen to them :) I love the cozy feelings, the friendship, the atmosphere of the 1930s, the description of a boarding school…

    Prompts:

    • Murder mystery. That’s what the young ladies do the best.
    • Future fic: what are they doing in their grown-up life?
    • Friendship fic - with or without including the Young Pinckertons.
    • Just in case you read some of Agatha Christie’s books (Marple, Poirot, Tommy&Tuppence) or Enid Blyton’s books about Five Find-outers with Fatty I’d love to see any crossover with either of the books.
    • I know that compared with the other fandoms I may not have that many prompts here but that’s because I love the canon as it is and I just want mooooore.
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: Daisy and Hazel writing letters to each other; we can almost consider mission reports canon, so I'd love to see more; meta - boarding schools in England, the atmosphere of the 1930s, parallels with Agatha Christie's books...

    What’s not to love about Murdoch Mysteries? It has detective work, it has witty and likable characters, it has plenty of historic realia… For me, this is such a feel-good TV series. Sure there are murders but no blood baths usually and the focus is really more on the detective work, investigation, the experiments… I like all the characters (with the exception of Violet Hart), it’s so interesting to follow the characters' development and that for the most part it just flows so nicely. I appreciate that the show is exploring even the same-sex relationships at that time. And I love learning about the science behind the new investigation methods and sneak peeks into the politics, international relationships and society at that time.

    Prompts:

    • crazy experiments in the lab; who is the one experimenting?
    • Julia and Emily choosing dresses
    • Julia/Emily or William/Julia travelling through Europe. Will they discover something? Or solve a case? Or will it be a pure romantic adventure? 
    • For Julia/Emily: What will we do with William (and George) that’s the question :D Julia/William is so canon. But we can pretend they are just friends and never ever had been romantically interested in each other, or Julia/Emily is just a short-lived romance while William is … somewhere else… I'd love to know how they started dating. Who knows about them? Is it a long-term relationship? Or is it too soon to tell?
    • H/C! I’d love to see Wiliam who cannot help but still come up with some inventions even though he’s hurt. And I’d love to see the hospitals and treatments from that time.
    • I love Freddie, Watts and Crabtree. They all have their quirks, are intelligent, get along very well with William and I’d like to see this feel-good atmosphere in the fic.
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: I'd love to get a sneak peek into William's diary. Is he writing about his experiments? What about Julia's diary. She has so many interests and professional skills and knowledge...

    I love this series. Though I have to admit I stopped watching somewhere after season 6. I somehow didn’t have time to keep up, got a bit angry about the increasing focus on Densi (meh) and now I prefer to rewatch my fave episodes over and over and to read one fanfic after another ;) I do know, in the broadest sense, the general development of the further seasons and have seen some of the episodes, though...

    (What I’m trying to say is: if you’d decide to write a direct continuation of let’s say episode 10 season 9 I probably would have to watch it first, I have no idea about it, haven’t watched it… but if you’d use a new piece of info let’s say about Callen’s childhood or favourite food or whatever that was revealed in episode 10 season 9 that’s totally ok, gimmeee all the info)

    I love spies, I do love spies so much, I love undercover work, creating the backstories and agents slipping into “fake” characters. And Mr. Callen is the master of the game. I also love men with blue eyes and characters with tough childhood behind them and mysterious past. Basically, NCIS: LA is Mr. Callen for me.

    Some of my favourite episodes are: Past Lives, Pusback, LD50, Callen G., Familia, Reznikov N., Matryoshka, The Chosen One, Purity

    Prompts:

    • Case fic; I love all case fics, it’s a great bonus if they include Comescus or someone from the characters’ past. The more undercover work and spies the better ;)
    • Exploring Callen’s past as the agent in Russia and Eastern Europe. I also love Arkady and would love to see more about his past cooperation with Callen.
    • Mr. Callen undercover.
    • Here really comes my love for h/c into play; I’ve been called “Mr. Callen hurt/comfort junkie” and am proud about it :D So, what happened to him this time? Is he in a hospital? Who’s putting up with him? I feel like even most of the canon injuries have been brushed upon, especially the ones after Mexico… And what’s even more appalling we were robbed of Callen’s recovery after the nearly fatal shooting in the NCIS LA spin-off Legend. Or you can come up with moooore original injuries. Mission fic, undercover, case fic would be an awesome background for this.
    • Exploring Callen’s ability to speak multiple foreign languages and maybe other talents. Is it useful for his job or is it for something else in this case? Is he learning a new language?
    • I just love the cagy, lone wolf Mr. Callen from the first few seasons and would like to read more about him. He trusted so few people but somehow Sam and Arkady were among them.
    • I liked the earlier seasons’ dynamics between Hetty and Callen. They respect and understand each other, Callen is trying to find out about his past, Hetty is trying to protect him…
    • Recently, I’ve been pulled into Sam/Callen (up to you if you omit Michelle and canon or maybe they got together after her death?) How did they start dating? What’s their relationship like? How do they balance work and private life? Is there a bit of fluff in their lives? What if Callen is injured? What is Sam doing?
    • 5 + 1 format. Maybe mission fics, 5 times Callen was a lone wolf and solved the case and the one time he needed Sam. Or the other way around. Or something totally different.
    • Basically, anything Mr. Callen related would be awesome.
    • Special prompt for mission report medium: Callen is making fun of Sam’s neat colour-coded reports, so how do Callen’s own reports look like?
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: interview/article - are journalists trying to interview Callen? Is he trying to reveal absolutely nothing? :D mission report - how does Sam's and Callen's report differ, meta - Callen and his languages (I loved the argument/show down between him and Hunter!! Also he speaks Czech so I have to love him even more ;) )

    (In case of Sonny/Clay and Jason/Clay, I wouldn’t want Clay to be cheating on Stella. I’d prefer Stella just out of the picture altogether or Stella just being friends with Clay and never dating him or being a friendly ex-girlfriend)

    It’s so improbable: me falling in love with a military drama because I didn’t know much about military and army things and yet here we are. I’m hooked. I love Bravo’s brotherhood, I love watching these confident men who can just do anything anywhere anytime they want. I love Sonny & Clay’s friendship in canon.

    Season 6 episode 8 never happened. Please don’t. No. Take it back, I want a refund. Please use canon up to S06E07.

    Prompts:

    • The feeling of brotherhood.
    • Clay & Sonny’s friendship. They are so different and at the first sight, it’s an improbable friendship - and yet they are best friends.
    • The classics: case fic, mission fic, undercover work. I love it when they plan the missions. Everyone weighs in their opinion, they quickly form plans, always have a plan B.
    • Or it could be more fluffy and light-hearted here - cooking together, moving in together…
    • SEAL Team is more focused on action and executing the orders but how would they fare with investigating a murder mystery?
    • And of course so many many hurt/comfort opportunities. What happened? Are they stranded somewhere? Will they get the help needed? (Unsurprisingly, I’d prefer hurt!Clay)
    • Injuries from a mission are the most expected but I’d be interested also in other ways how the poor boys could get hurt. In training? Or a “normal” car crash?
    • If you’d like to go the Clay/Sonny route, I’m in! Or Clay/Jason route. These fics are so rare T_T
    • I think that all of these four characters are so unique and fascinating that a character study would be awesome.
    • I loved everything about Manila and Clay’s injury. What if Bravo returned from the Philippines after the bombing and was there for Clay instead of Swanny?
    • What if “the very real possibility that your operating days will be over” the doctors kept talking about in 2x18 did happen and Clay couldn’t return to the field?
    • Or maybe the Manila injuries are acting up now, on top of everything else.

    For Season 6:

    • Any of the nominated relationships/friendships under these hard circumstances.
    • There was a 3-month-jump in the events in episode 2 so what happened during this time, not only with Clay but the whole team?
    • Clay instructing the Green Team and…. Clay is such an intelligent and capable person that I can’t imagine he’ll be happy yelling at green team members and ramping up their fitness in the long run. Can you please find something more for him to do? He speaks nine languages wink wink
    • Could he be accompanying Bravo on some mission because of his unique language skills? What will this trip cause? Increase his (and Jason’s) desire for him to return to Bravo or will he make his peace with never coming back? What is Stella’s opinion?
    • Clay returning to Bravo.
    • I have to admit that I have a pretty developed fix-it AU in my mind (and in a wip) where Clay returns to Bravo even with a prosthetic leg. It’s the only way I’m able to deal with season 6… and I totally do get it that you might not share this view. So in this case could you please concentrate more on the earlier stages of the rehab and coming to terms with the amputation (like episode 6x2, 6x3, 6x4) instead of long-term career and life plans? (I would prefer fics that wouldn't directly contradict my head-canon in this case)
    • Though if you do share this view that Clay returns, I need to know everything about how it goes! In this case I'm here for alllll the AU - Canon Divergence and Fix-it Fic! I’d LOVE to see Clay become Bravo 1 one day.
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: mission report - I'd love to see how they plan a missio at the beginning and how the actual mission differ; medical report - a series of medical reports as a chronicle of Clay getting back to Bravo T_T

    Spies. I love spies. This was such a unique TV series. Many criminal series include undercover work here and there, but the agent assumes an alias for a day or a week. But to play a role for years, decades even and live a life? THAT’s something. Bold plans, quick decisions, deceiving, drama and suspense. And you can’t help but be on the side of the spies. I also liked how it followed the real events in the cold war time.

    I’m more familiar with the first half of the series.

    Prompts:

    • Future fic - older Elizabeth and Philip back in Russia, reminiscing about their life. What are they doing?
    • Case fic. As I said the more spies the better 😊 I’d love to see their various techniques, masks, coding and decoding, the suspense and mystery
    • Hurt/comfort. What happened and to whom? Will Paige and Henry know or will they be kept in the dark?
    • A story set at the Soviet ambassy/residentura. I’d like to know more about Arkady or about Oleg.
    • A journal-like story about a “normal” day of one (or more) of the characters.
    • A look at his neighbours from Stan’s POV
    • A look at Elizabeth/Philip’s relationship over the years.
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: all the orders they decode! (can be counted as epistolary, right? ;) ; mission reports, documents they prepare to fit their cover or the FBI's mission reports trying to find the residents...

    I’ve madly fallen in love with this series. I can’t describe it less dramatically. It’s really the best and biggest discovery among TV series for me in recent years. I love everything about it, Kerri Russell, my beloved, from The Americans; the dry humour, complicated storylines, sneak peeks into the work of intelligence services, the allusions to real life politics and events, the banter between Hal and Kate, the way how competent and professional and badass they can be.

    Prompts:

    • I need to know who was behind the attack at the HMS ship. Trowbridge? Russia? Iran? These were the possibilities discussed in the series. I wouldn’t rule out eg. Saudi Arabia. Though I have no preference and am open to any idea. I’d love to see a plausible explanation, delivered in the style of the series.
    • So…. the explosion. How are Stuart and Hal? I wouldn’t want both of them dying but I am not totally opposed to one of them dying. What is the aftermath of this event? Or do we get some h/c?
    • Kate as the vice president. I’d love to see any of these scenarios: Kate as vice president with Hal at her side; divorced Kate as vice president or widowed Kate as vice president
    • At the beginning, Kate was supposed to work in Afghanistan, hadn't the attack happened. I’d love to see her and Hal there.
    • I’d love to see some hurt/comfort. Could be Hal after the explosion; Hal mentioned during the lecture that Kate was injured in Bosnia or you can imagine anything else.
    • Fic set in the past when Hal was the ambassador.
    • I’d love to get a closer look at Hal and Kate working with the intelligence services.
    • I love all the intricate plans and surprising twists.
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: mission reports - how do Kate's report for CIA and for the politicians differ; meta - anything about diplomacy, British politics...

    I like how this series focuses only on three main characters and yet so much mystery about them still remains. I like the clever plot, the banter between Doyle and Bodie and even the action scenes; the often complicated plot ideas, spy games, sneak peeks into politics and diplomacy, and especially the cold-war atmosphere. It is so interesting to watch how Cowley, Bodie and Doyle all have different backgrounds (albeit we don’t have that much info) and it serves as believable reasoning for the different motivation, decisions and behaviour of the characters. And all the action scenes also offer so many h/c possibilities ;)

    
    Prompts:

    • I just like this matter-of-fact, raw tone of the series and would love to see it in the fic too
    • Classic case-fic... or a case-fic with some sprinkles of Bodie/Doyle or Bodie/Cowley
    • Who initiated the relationship? Are they hiding it? They probably have to… but does Doyle know (for Bodie/Cowley) or does Cowley know (for Bodie/Doyle)?
    • Is it the first m/m relationship for either of them? If not, is there any story they can tell about their past relationships? Was their partner also an agent, a soldier?
    • I’d love to get to know more about Bodie’s mysterious past. Will we meet Krivas again??
    • For Bodie/Cowley: Age gap! Age gap! I usually don’t see it as a problem at all but maybe some of the characters have some thoughts about it.
    • Can we catch some smallest details revealing they are in a relationship even when they are 100 % focused on a case?
    • H/C, it seems that in the course of later seasons the writers forgot but there indeed is a bullet in Cowley’s leg! And the many times Bodie (or Doyle) was kicked, hit, injured and even shot? So many h/c opportunities. Who is hurt? How did it happen? Is it serious?
    • I love the episodes with politics, cold war, diplomats and agents playing mind games (and spy games)
    • I think Bodie and Cowley are much more similar than Doyle and Cowley, so I’d love to see more about Bodie & Cowley dynamics.
    • Reuniting after years apart, post-canon etc. - I’d love to know what happened. Did Bodie and Doyle work for CI5 until retirement? Did one of them change his life radically? Why? What happened? How did they meet again…
    • Possible ideas for medium opt-ins: mission report - how do Doyle and Bodie's report on one hand and Cowley's on the other differ (I imagine Doyle and Bodies would be quite succint, raw; whereas Cowley has to explain sometimes things more for the ministers etc. and also has to think about more far-reaching consequences; medical report; interview/article - are the journalists trying to interview either of them and is the character trying not to reveal anything? ;)
