Here’s a list of my general likes, DNWs, some prompts for individual requests and finally, I talk about the mini-challenges I participate in ;)

The first thing I’d like to point out is: I love the atmosphere of the requested shows/books. I love them and I want to have moooore of it, so I usually prefer the canon-verse or some smaller (or bigger) canon divergence over a totally alternate universe (unless stated otherwise).

Under every request I’ve added my favourite friendships and relationships (sometimes even including characters who are not in the tagset so feel free to ignore them). I have a lot of gen prompts here, there are some fandoms where I’m simply not that much into romance. On the other hand though there are some fandoms with ships I’d love to read about!

For / ships I’d like to clarify that I don’t need romance and kisses in every paragraph of the fic. I’d love to know that my beloved characters are in a relationship or are trying to get together but feel free to focus more on my other general likes and genres and tropes and just add this new layer of two characters being in a relationship in smaller measures. But if you want to write a whole fic about the partners panicking and preparing a wedding, I’m here for it too.

I also love hurt/comfort and will squeal in joy at whatever mention of h/c.

I never see it as a problem in letters of other people so I have never mentioned it but the varying length dedicated to individual requests and the varying number of prompts do not mean I like some fandoms less. I love them all. These are the six most favourite ones that made it on the list! ;) For some it’s just easy to say: I love canon, please give me more; and elsewhere I have lots of thoughts (looking at you, SEAL Team producers).

What I love about the series:

What’s not to love about Murdoch Mysteries? It has detective work, witty and likeable characters, plenty of historic realia… For me, this is such a feel-good TV series. Sure there are murders but no blood baths usually and the focus is really more on the detective work, investigation, the experiments…

I like all the characters (with the exception of Violet Hart), it’s so interesting to follow the characters' development and that for the most part it just flows so nicely. I appreciate that the show is exploring even the same-sex relationships at that time.

And I love learning about the science behind the new investigation methods and love sneak peeks into the politics, international relationships and society at that time.

hurt/comfort: ! I’d love to see Wiliam who cannot help himself but still come up with some inventions even though he’s hurt. And I’d love to see the hospitals and treatments from that time.
I love Freddie, Crabtree and Brackenreid. They all have their quirks, are intelligent, get along very well with William and I’d like to see this feel-good atmosphere in the fic.
Julia is such a fascinating character - I’d love to see a character study or Julia solving a case by herself.
Julia/Emily: I'd love to know how they started dating. Who knows about them? Is it a long-term relationship? Or is it too soon to tell?
Julia and Emily choosing dresses for each other
Julia/Emily or William/Julia travelling through Europe. Will they discover something? Or solve a case? Or will it be a pure romantic adventure?

For Julia/Emily: feel free to handle the canon relationships in any way you prefer (just omitting William and George from the fic or saying William & Julia (and Emily & George) are just friends and never ever had been romantically interested in each other, or Julia/Emily is just a short-lived romance while William is somewhere else…)

2) Pole vault RPF

Fandom specific DNW: focus on Thiago Braz

What I love about it:

Pole vault is such an exciting and unique discipline. It seems to me it doesn’t get the attention in TV broadcasts it would deserve. All the athletes seem to get on very well and the Mondo & Sam, Mondo & Manolo and especially Mondo & Renaud friendship – in real life – is so heart-warming to see.

Prompts:

There are around ten stories in this fandom so please do what you want! Bonus points for mentioning Armand’s glasses! (Nope, the laser surgery totally didn’t happen ;) )

Friendship, friends to lovers, slowburn. Maybe they are training and just hanging around in Renaud’s garden in Clermont-Ferrand.

Olympics 2020 (2021): there was all: the pressure and joy for Mondo, (the absolute joy for Manolo, the disappointment for Sam) and the drama and pain for Renaud. I’d love to read any fic based on these canon events. It was so sad to see Renaud in pain (otoh the hurt/comfort potential!!). And Mondo hugging Renaud after his last failed attempt and then Renaud being the first person to congratulate Mondo after it was clear he won T_T

Olympics 2024: I’d like to see the Olympics and Mondo winning and breaking the WR and Renaud not qualifying there and being injured through the lense of their friendship or developing or established relationship

Olympics 2024: I was hoping so so so much Renaud would make it T_T and would love to read a story with a different outcome - Renaud competing alongside Mondo, Mondo still winning… how will they celebrate? What about Renaud’s injury?

A humorous story including a fun way to use the poles. Maybe they have to escape from somewhere.

I just love Renaud’s mentorship and their mutual respect and admiration. (Renaud saying about Mondo’s 6.21 WR at the Worlds: “Mondo asked me to stay there for him. I can’t say no to him.” AWWWWWWW)

Hurt/comfort. Injury recovery. Lots of comfort. There’s a perfect opportunity: Mondo’s WR of 6.23 and Renaud’s leg surgery in the span of a week. I’d love any friendship or shippy take on it. Are they texting each other, is Renaud watching the World Championship in hospital? Does Mondo rush to France immediately afterwards?

Fluff. They deserve it ;) Established relationship.

Age-gap! Age-gap relationship! They are at very different points of their career, too…

3) Radio Silence - Alice Oseman

I just wanted to note that I have read only this book and don't know anything about the bigger 'Alice Oseman universe' like Heartstopper etc. I've heard that some characters appear even in her other works but I don't know Frances, Daniel and Aled outside of Radio Silence.

What I love about the book:

Just everything. This book is not only unicorns and rainbows, it doesn’t shy away from difficult themes and real life situations but the way they are presented and the hope and friendship in there make it so heart-warming and believable and you just want to hang out with Frances, Aled and Daniel.

Prompts:

Tbh I just want moooore of this, of these friendships and relationships, of this vibe

Future fic: what are they all doing? What are they studying? How much involved is Carys in Aled’s and Frances’ lives?

Would it be possible to get some a bit positive development with Aled’s mother Carol?

What about Frances getting to know some amazing OC and starting dating them? I’d love to know everything about it! When did they meet? What does the OC do? What does Frances’ mum think?

Aled, Frances and Daniel working together on something which could show their different personalities and their bond. It could be a particularly difficult essay Daniel has to write or something in their flat has to get repaired or something more unusual?

4) SEAL Team (TV)

Requested characters: Clay Spenser; Jason Hayes; Sonny Quinn

My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags; or it may use exceptions I explain in the form: I'd like the fic to feature Clay and if possible at least one of the other two characters (Sonny or Jason).

Fandom specific DNW: Clay's death, any references to Clay's death; mentioning the vet centre; focus on canon storylines about traumatic brain injury; focus on Full Metal, Vic, Emma, Rebecca; making Ash more of a negative character than in canon

What I love about the series:

I love the brotherhood, the absolute trust, the unbreakable bond between the SEALs. The way they are so dedicated to the job and can forget all the troubles and just get the things done.

I love watching these confident men who can just do anything anywhere anytime they want. I like the way they face their problems. I love it when they plan the missions. Everyone weighs in their opinion, they quickly form plans, always have a plan B.

I love Sonny & Clay’s friendship. They are so different and at the first sight, it’s an improbable friendship - and yet they are battle boos.

Season 6 episode 8 never happened T_T. Please use canon up to S06E07. (In case you choose some fix-it scenario then references to 06x08 are ok). I have to admit that I haven’t watched season 7…

Prompts:

The feeling of brotherhood.

Clay & Sonny’s friendship. They are so different and at the first sight, it’s an improbable friendship - and yet they are best friends.

The classics: case fic, mission fic, undercover work. I love it when they plan the missions. Everyone weighs in their opinion, they quickly form plans, always have a plan B.

Or it could be more fluffy and light-hearted here - cooking together, moving in together…

SEAL Team is more focused on action and executing the orders but how would they fare with investigating a murder mystery?

And of course so many many hurt/comfort opportunities. What happened? Are they stranded somewhere? Will they get the help needed? (Unsurprisingly, I’d prefer hurt!Clay)

Injuries from a mission are the most expected but I’d be interested also in other ways how the poor boys could get hurt. In training? Or a “normal” car crash?

If you’d like to go the Clay/Sonny route, I’m in! Or Clay/Jason route. These fics are so rare T_T

I loved everything about Manila and Clay’s injury. What if Bravo returned from the Philippines after the bombing and was there for Clay instead of Swanny? Would this bring Clay and Sonny or Clay and Jason closer?

What if “the very real possibility that your operating days will be over” the doctors kept talking about in 2x18 did happen and Clay couldn’t return to the field?

Or maybe the Manila injuries are acting up now, on top of everything else.

For Season 6:

Any of the relationships/friendships under these hard circumstances.

Clay instructing the Green Team and…. Clay is such an intelligent and capable person that I can’t imagine he’ll be happy yelling at Green team members and ramping up their fitness in the long run. Can you please find something more for him to do? He speaks nine languages wink wink

Could he be accompanying Bravo on some mission because of his unique language skills? What will this trip cause? Increase his (and Jason’s) desire for him to return to Bravo or will he make his peace with never coming back? What is Sonny's opinion?

Clay returning to Bravo.

I have to admit that I have a pretty developed fix-it AU in my mind (and in a wip series) where Clay returns to Bravo even with a prosthetic leg. It’s the only way I’m able to deal with season 6… and I totally do get it that you might not share this view. So in this case could you please concentrate more on the earlier stages of the rehab and coming to terms with the amputation (like episode 6x2, 6x3, 6x4) instead of long-term career and life plans? (I would prefer fics that wouldn't directly contradict my head-canon in this case)

Though if you do share this view that Clay returns, I need to know everything about how it goes! I’m all for canon divergence and fix-it fics! I’d LOVE to see Clay become Bravo 1 one day.

5) Team Champéry RPF

What I love about it:
I love figure skating, have been following it closely since 2016. My forever fave will be Javier Fernández. After his retirement it was Matteo Rizzo and Shoma who have been giving me the most emotions. I didn’t see much of Stéphane during his competitive years but his exhibitions are to die for. Champéry simply fascinates me, the nurturing environment they’ve managed to build there. But what fascinates me even more are Stéphane, Shoma, the way they think and the way they communicate with each other and understand each other.

Prompts:

Fic set after a competition (real or fiction one)… Does someone need some cheering up or is everyone happy? Are there other skaters from Champéry?

Competition adventures and shenanigans

Hurt/comfort ;) (Eg. Shoma has twisted his ankle way too many times T_T)

Mentor-mentee dynamics, are there any hints to Stéphane/Shoma?

Character study or fangirling about one of their programs (I absolutely love Shoma’s Oboe Concerto and Mea Tormenta oh and Spiegel im Spiegel tooooo). Shoma is such an interesting person; with deep emotions, expressing them in his skating and Stéphane and the way he’s thinking is just so complex.

Future fic: are they both coaches now? What are they doing? Are they rivals at work and friends or lovers outside work?

A fic totally unrelated to figure skating like a road trip or cooking together or go crazy, figure skaters are now detectives!

I love ice dance so what about Shoma and/or Stéphane discovering ice dance (and maybe returning to competitions in a new discipline? Be it Shoma and Stéphane as an ice dance couple or only one of them or both of them with a real life figure skater (male or female) or an OC. For example, I love the dynamics between Stéphane and Johnny Weir and between Shoma and Alex Shibutani.

These two just have such a fluffy vibe I wouldn’t want any big conflicts or angst for them.

6) They came to Baghdad - Agatha Christie

Requested characters: Victoria Jones; Richard Baker; Mr. Dakin; Henry Carmichael

What I love about the book:
That there are spies! And that it's Agatha! ;) I love everything Agatha Christie wrote, this is one of the crime novels without a famous detective and that makes it even more exciting. I also like the atmosphere of the Middle East. I like the subtle hints through the story, the plot twists, uncertainty, and suspense.

Prompts:

Casefic, spies, undercover work

I loved the atmosphere, the mystery and the descriptions of the Middle East in the book and would love the fic to include some descriptions of the locality where your plot takes place. Feel free to set it anywhere in the world! I’m so curious what the characters would do and where!

Hurt/comfort while undercover (I’d prefer hurt!Carmichael or hurt!Richard)

What if Carmichael survived? Maybe the whole story is completely different and he was warned before entering the Tio hotel! Or maybe he’s injured. Canon divergence or AUs are very welcome here.

Maybe Carmichael gets to recount his dangerous journey through China to discover the evidence in his own words or Mr. Dakin sends him immediately on another mission - with Richard and/or Victoria at his side.

Story set in the past. I'd like to know more about Carmichael's life. All the languages he spoke…

Victoria and Mr. Dakin working together for the second time. What is happening? Are they still in Baghdad or somewhere else?

Or maybe Richard joins Mr. Dakin's organisation. He was in the Army and knows the Morse code, after all ;)

Future fic. Twenty years after the events in Baghdad happened Victoria is talking about her adventures since then. What is true and what is her masterful lie? Did she become a spy?

Mini-challenges

MultiLingYule

I've joined MultiLingYule and would be interested in fics in German, Czech or Italian for any requested fandom. I’m aware that all these fandoms are predominantly English (or a bit French/Japanese) but someone might still be inspired by this.

It could be interesting to transport the plot into Czech/German/Italian speaking environment.

It would be so cool to find fellow Czech fan/s. I've just dived directly into English fandoms and fanfic places so I haven't met many Czech fans.

German is my first foreign language, I use it all the time and really like the language (especially its structure, word-building possibilities and looooong attributes).
And about Italian ... I'm still learning so some complicated deep thoughts or wordplays could be a bit tricky for me to understand but I'll do my best! I love everything Italian.

Queering the tide

And also, we have Queering the Tide here. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman is canonically queer. And I have some M/M prompts in Pole Vault RPF, Team Champéry RPF and SEAL Team (TV). (I also have a fave F/F ship in Murdoch Mysteries but one of the characters is not in the tagset so I’m just mentioning it here as an aside.)
